I have just brought myself Call Of Duty but it doesn't want to work I have installed all of the game on both disks, and have also installed DirectX 9.0 and still nothing, I have done what the game tells me to and checked all my video card settings and still nothing what now? Is a "Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 (WDM) and a HID-compliant game controller" as fast as a 3D Hardware Accelerator Card? And should I purchase myself a new Video card if nothing you tell me works?
Thanks
Email me some help please
Adam

What happens when you try to play the game? No one can help you if you don't describe exactly what the problem is. If you're getting an error message, post it word-for-word.

Which video card settings did you check?

When you say "3D Hardware Accelerator Card", I'm assuming that you're really referring to a video card. The Creative thing you mentioned is not your video card, it's your sound card, and a video card and sound card can't be compared to each other in terms of speed. What kind of video card do you have? Did you check to make sure that Call of Duty supports your video card chipset before you bought the game?

If your video card chipset is not supported by the game, yes, you'll need to get a new video card.

BTW, how can someone e-mail you if you didn't post your e-mail address? :p

ok so how do i find what kinda video card ive got? 3D Hardware Accelerator Card is what CoD says i need! dont no wot ive got tho! my email is Hibhop@hotmail.com so email me sum help there plz! the fatul error message reads:
Your video card appears to be missing one or more features required to run Call of Duty.

You should install the latest drivers for your video card, being sure to uninstall the old drivers first. If you already have the latest drivers, you should completely uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them. This fixes most problems. If the game still doesn't work, it may be that your video card does not have the minimum features required. Please check the readme for more information, including a list of supported video cards.
so i dont know what i shud do cos its an amaz game and i wont it on me PC!
EMAIL me sum help cheers!
quickly please!

To find out what kind of video card you have, follow these steps:

Windows 98 and Me:

a. Right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties
b. Click the Device Manager tab
c. Click the plus sign next to Display Adapters

Windows 2000 and XP:
a. Right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties
b. Click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button
c. Click the plus sign next to Display Adapters

Tell us what kind of video card you have and we'll check to see if Call of Duty supports it.

Yes, that's your video card, which is the same thing as your graphics card. If you've updated your video card drivers/reinstalled them if they're up-to-date and you still get that error message, then most likely that means that the game simply does not support your video card chipset and that you will need to get a new video card to play.

Before you buy a game, ALWAYS check the system requirements...

Are you asking how to host a CoD game? What kind of Internet connection do you have?
