What kind of Internet connection do you have? Do you know the name(s) of the firewall(s) you're behind?

Do you share your DSL connection with other computers in your home? If you do, how do you do it?
If you don't share the connection, what kind of DSL modem do you have? It probably doubles as a NAT router, and I can help you configure it for hosting.

If your computer is the only computer that has the DSL connection, then you're not sharing it with other computers. To find out what kind of DSL modem you have, simply look at it. Look for a brand and model number, like Westell 2200 or Zyxel 645.

Based on my research so far, it seems that port forwarding with your DSL modem is quite difficult to do...
I found this link which will hopefully help you:
http://www.subwolf.org/v2/articles.php?article=3
The port that Warcraft III uses for hosting by default is 6112, the protocol of that port is TCP, and the IP address will be your computer's current internal IP address.
If all of the steps at that link are way over your head, hopefully you know someone in real life who is knowledgable about computers that can help you.

See, here's the thing... in order to help you, I'd probably have to do all this myself, but I can't, as I don't have a DSL connection. Do you think you could contact your ISP and ask them how to get into the modem's settings and forward port 6112 TCP to your computer? I'd love to help you configure the modem, but I'm not sure I can because I don't even have a complete understanding of how you get into the settings.
If possible, you could get rid of your current DSL modem and get a new one that has an easy-to-use Web interface...
