Problem with BF 1942

heres the problem, i click the desktop/start menu icon and the game starts to load, the screen then goes black.

i tried un installing and re installing and it went through intro movie with no sound and then it would freeze and my keyboard would not work. now it just goes black. anyone know whats wrong?

hmmm...There is a way to run the game without playing the intro. I forgot how though. Put down ur pc specs.

And do you have the latest direct X??? and one more thing Do you have the latest drivers for your video card installed?:D
