MSGSRV32 Start up error

I keep getting the error "msgsrv32 has caused an error in KRNL386.EXE. msgsrv32 will now close" when I start up my computer. When I hit the close button my computer just hangs there and will not finish booting up. How do I fix this when I cant even get into Windows???? PLEASE HELP!

try booting into safe mode, then running scandisk. scandisk can also be run from dos, if it wont even go into safe mode.
