Can anyone recommend any software that would work similar to Microsoft Office, but for free? I am just wondering because I really can't afford to buy something professional, so I'm using Wordpad...yuck...
Is there anything out there similar to OpenOffice, but for Windows?
It doesn't need to be awesome stuff, just freeware better than Wordpad.
Thanks for your support.

Hah, I'm sorry guys.
I mentioned OpenOffice (for Linuix, I though), and they do make a windows platform. I didn't bother to check before posting. I'm so stupid!
Anyway, I'm sorry for taking up the space on the site. It was a useless post.
Apologies to staff members and the like.

Word perfect is pretty up to date and cheap, not free but a lot cheaper than office.

There is not much out there for free that is really worth getting, however check out this link to newegg.com - it's Microsoft Works for $35.00 (free shipping) and it contains word processing, spreadsheet, database etc.

I found OpenOffice and another thing called OpenCD, which is just a larger version, with even more stuff. It's completely free, and honestly, just as good as some of the Microsoft software.
