ok, here we go, i connec tto the internet (sbc global dsl) and ill b connected for bout 15-20 min give or take anyways ill b connected and it will drop my connection saying ive lost my connection ill try to reconnect and itll say my phone line is busy .... ect. could sum1 plz help me out with this ... send me a link to a website or anything any feedback at all would b gratefull

that sounds like an issue that you should contact SBC about.

I believe your problem is caused by the fact that you have call waiting on your phone line. Click on Start then Settings then Phone & Modem Options (or Modems), then dialing Rules, then Edit, then 'To Disable Call Waiting', then enter *70, then Apply, then Okay. this should fix your problem since when your call waiting is activated sometimes static on your line can cause problems. If that still doesn't work I recommend Modem Booster. You can get a shareware verion at...

Although it's main purpose is to make your modem faster and you may not need this w/ DSL, it should help w/ the stability of your modem as well. From what I've heard you can even delete it after you've used it for a while and you'll still be left w/ an improved modem. Also check out this website...
