My DVD Player

I Tried playing The Lord Of The Rings: The return of the king for my DVD player, it went to the dvd's menu, then craped out. A green and red light keep blinking, The disc tray wouldent open so I rattled it around then took it apart. The DVD was off the tray and so I took it out, put the dvd player back 2 gether. Then tried to play it again, disc tray wont open and the lights keep blinking, I get no picture from the player emnu. to respondence fropm any butten. help me please!

You voided the warranty on the player by opening it , there is a small hole on the front of every player big enough for a paper clip that is the emergency eject for the tray, next time try that instead of taking it apart.
You need a new DVD Player , luckily they aren't that much.

There was no hole. .....So that means I have to get another one?

Is this a DVD-ROM or simply a DVD player on your TV?

A DVD Player, a CD player also.

Have you tried rebooting and opening the DVD player while your operating system loads? If it doesn't open then, you're probably going to need to replace it.

You can try opening it by right clicking on the drive in My Computer and selecting eject, but that would only work if your eject button was broken on the drive.
