Update: This is to inform everyone that the downtime will take place at approximately 3:30PM Pacific today (02/13/02). The forums will be inaccessible, as well as most parts of the site. If you want, you can make use of the OTS Chatroom (http://www.opentechsupport.net/chat/) in the meantime.
Our site will be switching over to a different server box (same webhost), one that will be faster and more responsive. This means that our IP address will change, so if you are linking or have bookmarked this site using our IP address, please update your bookmarks to http://www.opentechsupport.net/.
During the scheduled downtime, our forums will be temporarily out of commission, as we try to switch over the database onto the new server box. This is so that we can retain all forum informatiion after the switch. This should not pose any problems, except for those who are cookied into the site - your cookies will be reset so you would need to log in again after the switch.
Estimated downtime will probably be 2-3 hours (probably much shorter if everything goes as planned). So heads up folks, and don't be alarmed if you see the site down later ;)
