With Morrowind being available at stores this week, we want to know what you think of it so far. This is basically the same poll done with Dungeon Siege, so I think I'll leave this up for a couple of weeks to see what people think ;)

Doesn't look like a lot of people have bought it so you're not alone.

I got it here, didn't play it yet.
I'll see if I can find some time to try it later this day/week/month :)

Hopefully sooner rather than later. I want to hear what it's like, I might buy the game too.

I've got it, played for a couple hours earlier, it's pretty fun, a lot more running around getting stupid items and not as much running around whacking innocent civilians with my sword
I hate guards.
Anyone know what level the guards are? I can't wait to smack those bastards around.

Oh man, there are to many games coming out to keep track of, and not enough money to buy any.

Spider is the game really worth buying? I'm still thinking about it.

I wonder why a "I haven't bought it." option is always available. If you haven't bought it, then why post or vote? It's not required, you know. ;)

Tough call, it was fun at first, but after playing more today and getting the same run-around quests, and not being able to senslessly murder townfolk, it's really turning me off to this game, I thought it was going to be much more 'open'
Also I've come to think of it as a single-player Everquest...with an improved battle system (if that says anything to you)

Those who plan to buy it will simply abstain from voting till they tried it, anyway.

I thought more people would have jumped at this game already. Maybe it's the time of year it released.

Or maybe it's because it sucks after playing for 4-6 hours.
I personally can't wait until someone releases some cheats so I can terrorize the commonwealth. It's probably the most fun I'll have in this game.

Lol, is the game like a DAOC singleplayer type thing? I really liked that game except you have to pay to play.

For those of you playing the game, you might find this interesting:

Apparently with that No-CD Crack, you can gain a 10-15% performance increases and the loading pauses are decreased by 1/2 to 2/3. It also increases framerate.
I saw this posted on MadOnions News Page(not the forums), so it must be good to make their news, they hardly post any news.
If anyone tries it, post back with your results:)

Dungeon Siege is a pretty addictive game actually, it'll last me until I buy Morrowind. What do you think is a better idea: get the Xbox version? or get the PC version?

Well I have a friend that got the game and he says it's really a great game. Opinions do seem to vary though cause I have heard both good and bad reviews about the game.

I just got it, and I've only played for a couple of hours. The game seems fun right now, but I'm having major problems with it...It keeps shutting down for now apparent reason blah blah blah...Maybe I'll get around to fix that.

The Xbox release was postponed because of all the bugs in the PC version of Morrowind.

I have morrowind and really don't like it. However it's gotten great reviews. I think it's boring. The combat is bad, quests are dumb. It takes forever to get places. Not to mention the extreme system requirements. It's just not fun. Also the leveling is messed up, not more points for killing.
Xtren

System requirements are getting to be very high on all new games now. It's because technology of course is advancing so much... I mean the requirements are why I couldn't play the game. It does look great though so a graphics card is probably the main issue there. What do you have as specs?

900 Duron
512 PC133 SDRAM
nVidia TNT2
I'll be buying a GeForce3 soon.

Well the problem with my PC is that it doesn't have AGP slots, and until I get a new one that does, I won't be able to upgrade my video card, because basically all of them run on AGP now, not PCI. I recently bought an ATI Radeon 8500, only to find out that I can't use it, so now I hope I can get a refund or something.....
I'm stuck with a Voodoo 5 for a while now and it doesn't appear that that is going to change.

I bought Morrowind for Xbox not too long ago. It turns out that I'm really into the game and I like it a lot. I love how there aren't really any borders toward what you can do, and how there are so many quests that make the game last forever. It's a lot of fun traveling around the world and helping all kinds of people. It's also a lot of fun to be in a guild whereyou are given missions and you get promoted to move up the ranks. Morrowind's realism is fantastic.

this is a poll, not a discussion thread. why dont you start a new topic in rants or gaming if you want to discuss this?
Xtren
08-09-2002, 12:14 PM
I have to disagree, the poll is titled "What do you think of Morrowind?" so as long as I am discussing Morrowind I'm still on topic, and I don't really see what problem you have with me doing so.

Yeah, it's great. You can do absolutely anything you want, except have any affect on the static world and cause changes in it.
