Is there any way to check which websites I've been to even after I deleted it from Temporary Internet Files?

Once it's cleared, I don't think you can access any old sites - sites are stored in your cache, and you just cleared it.

I've heard that you are able to recover lost files somehow. I know there is a way.

yes there is a way. Even though the temp files are gone. Even after you have cleared the history and cleared all cache and emptied your recycle bin, MS has found a way to keep a history still. The Index.dat files.
