It's a netscape problem!

Hehehe, isn't it easy to just blame a browser? http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/tongue.gif Anyway, did you enable active desktop during your tinkering with the desktop themes? What have you got loaded while you are trying to access your themes?

I am sure that if you retrace your steps, you'll find out why. And please tell us what exactly you were doing while you were fooling around with themes.

And upgrade your browsers, lol http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/biggrin.gif

i didnt place blame anywhere! :P

well, i was looking around the hard drive for stuff to delete/uninstall to free up some space and ended up in the folder with themes.exe so i was like, "lets play with this for a few"
i had netscape open, maybe ie too http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/biggrin.gif
and the usual stuff thats hanging out at the task bar
themes worked fine and i went on my way for the next few hours
then i realized almost all the browser text was italic and was like, "wtf?" so i figured i would just go back to themes and restore the desktop settings i had saved hoping that would fix it, but all themes does is crash

upgrade my browser to what? crashscape 8.5?

Bob,

It is possible that if you uninstalled something to free up disk space, that it took the font with it. Leaving your browsers to use a default font. Have you tried to go to IE -->Tools-->Internet Options-->Fonts and choosing a different font?

Netscape it is Edit-->Preferences-->Appearances-->Fonts

Hope this helped ya bob! Never delete anything, just buy a bigger HD!! http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

haha, right revenge? i am pretty much like, 'M P what?', i have like 40 .wav's on my hard drive and like 3 mp3...who needs to free up space?

but yeah, *coincidentally* i was uninstalling some stuff the other day (like daikatana, mw3, and kingpin demos), but i had never changed the fonts in the browser's previously, and first thing i did try was changing the fonts myself

i was finally driven insane by italic text everywhere
it was in all the games i was playing too...moderately annoying
uninstalling desktop themes fixed the problem

I believe Windows has a default text that it uses, and themes can change this. I may be thinking of something else, though.

Changes aren't permanent, but change is.

Start -> Control Panel -> Display -> Appearance -> Click on the text displayed in the boxes. You can edit the font there.
