How dammit! It's not the same as windows 98, and I can't find it for the life of me.

Hmmm, last I remembered, IE5 was closely integrated to Win2K, so you may wanna try disabling autocomplete in IE5 and see if it works.

CONTROL PANEL -> INTERNET OPTIONS -> CONTENT -> AUTOCOMPLETE

Doubleclick on the autorun in the list and change the value to zero(Disable). 1 for Enable. :)
