oibknd32.dll error messge

I am taking an Oracle Database Course and I am trying to install Enterprise Manager.

This is the error message I receive during the installation, then the installation is aborted. Calls and emails to Oracle's tech support have been ignored.

It's a long shot, but try renaming MFC42.DLL and try to reinstall the Oracle Enterprise Manager again. I read that this is a common problem on Win98 machines.

Post back if you still have a problem, or stick around for more suggestions...

Thanks, here is the problem I had with the installation of Developer 6. There was another DLL file and I was told to uncheck the box. I found out that the box was not checked and I put a check mark for the Read-only. It worked.

But I will try your idea and I'll get back to you.

Which MFC42.DLL? I have several.

I had to remove Oracle Developer 6 and cleaned out the registry again. I did manage to get Enterprise Manager installed, now I am having problems installing Developer 6 and here is the error message that is aborting the installation.
