I'm getting ready to install Windows 2000 on a new pair of hard drives so I decided to try out IE6 Beta since i'm re-installing Windows anyway.
Well, it adds a toolbar to the left side of the IE window. It appears to be a built-in media player but it serves more as an irritation to me. I didn't see anywhere you can disable it either.
Some websites also seem to lockup the browser as well. The one thing I seen that might be useful is there is now somekind of interface where you can connect to a chat server. If this catches on, it might be easy for someone to have a chat server for this site or any other site for that matter. It's hard to tell though since I didn't try it out. (No chat server..hehe)
Anyways I'd avoid IE6 Beta for now. Unless you want to try it out before a windows installation.
