Is it possible to make the words for my icons/shortcuts only be words without the background on them that makes them look bad with the desktop wallpaper?

Oh you mean the tooltips? I dunno, I haven't changed the color of my tooltips before... Maybe it has something to do with a registry setting or something ... someone will know...

I don't think you can but you can change the color of the background. I changed mine to black. You can change it by selecting desktop in the appearance section under display.

Yeah I know that...I was just hoping there was some way to just have the text and no background color to the text...
