I rebooted into Linux today for the first time in a few weeks and when I tried to switch back to Win2K I got an odd error after logging in. Told me my page file was missing or too small. Gave me step by step directions to fix it even. Ok, I thought to myself, I'll do this then get back to doing whatever it was I wanted to do at the time. I click the evil OK button and 'POOF', back to the login screen I go. I get the same thing in safe mode too. How'm I supposed to fix it if I can't get into the system? Oh, and I did the 'smart' thing and installed it on an NTFS partition so I can't get into the drive through Linux to create anything. Anyone got any ideas before I reinstall?

Put in the Win2k install CD and reboot. It should give you an option to repair. And from there it will do the search and find the common errors. This should be enough to fix this. If not post back and we can take it from there.

A lot of good tips for fixing a corrupt page file can be found here (http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/Forum6/HTML/009624.html). http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

Alright, I've got it running again... Had to reinstall, going to have to reinstall a lot of stuff before I feel comfortable on this thing, but the good thing is I can do it now! hehe Tried the repair thing but it wouldn't fix the pagefile. I tried the tips on the other forum, but without being able to get into the system I couldn't use them either.
I finally decided to cut my losses and redo it. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif Thanks for the help though, I did learn a few things while at it.
