Failed to join with only 1 Character...

I have recently had a problem that one of my characters would recieve the "failed to join" every time i clicked to join a game.
I tried rebooting, reinstalling Diablo2, downloading the patch over numerous times, but still no luck. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this too, and if anyone knows how to fix it, or what to do.

If it's just one of your characters, it sounds like it's the realm he's on. Has this been a problem for a while or just recently?
I've had problems with the West server last night.

If it persists, post back with your system specs including modem type, Internet Service Provider and we'll get right on it.

For now, try connecting to games with a new character from a different realm. Or if it's an open game, try a TCP/IP game with someone. It sounds like it's more battle.nets fault than your computers or ISP's.
