I just wanted to let Ion and whoever else cares that I think I've finally got the lockups beat. It appears that it was a video driver problem, just not with nvidia. I installed the new VIA drivers last night and have had several long lockup-free sessions since with absolutely no problems. So, I'm guessing the VIA 4.04 AGP driver was the magic bullet I've been looking for. And there was much rejoicing...
So now you'll probably find me on bnet, since I won't lockup and die on a regular basis anymore. Whoohoo! Thanks for the help, and I'll probably drop in from time to time.
