Hey, I am having a major problem with my diablo 2 game! I BOUGHT the game, it's not burned, and i cant get it to play. I have tried my friends game too and it doesn't work either. I can instal the game fine, and I can also see the autostart up screen when I put the Play Disk in, but when I hit the Play Diablo 2 button, it says "Please insert the Diablo 2 cd and try again". And I have tried rebooting it numerous times. I used Diablo 2 on my comp a while ago, but now it wont work. I have a 450Mhz computer with 128 mb RAM, and a Creative CD-RW Blaster 8/4/32 burner. It's not a good idea to post your IP and MAC address.

Have you done everything on http://www.blizzard.com/support/index.asp?Action=Solution ?

I am sure TR meant this URL:
http://www.blizzard.com/support/index.asp?Action=Solution&BugID=173

Blizzard Tech Support has a weird way of generating pages now, hehe.

Anyway, I agree with TR ... your IP and MAC address is like your home address http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/wink.gif

p.s. I have edited it out for security reasons.

By the way,

It is impossible to burn a Diablo 2 CD and have it work cause' there is a "ghost" file on it that isn't detected and is required to play.

Nothing's impossible. I'm sure someone has found a way to copy the ghost file.

Impossibility is impossible to prove, so I guess there IS something impossible, hehehehe http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/tongue.gif

Anyway, the newer CD-burners/software could get past most copy-protection schemes imposed by software and game companies...
