after viewing videos in D2, computer freezes, can't get into act 4

I haven't installed anything new, I've completed evry act except 4, I can't get into act 4, I watch the video after completing act 3 but then my computer goes blank,freezes, and my cd will then stop runing, all my specs are corect, never had a problem before. this is in a single player game so I must have a problem with my spects but I can'y find anything wrong, the video test shows everything is ok, I did a full installation, I can reinstall but i really don't want to have to start all over again but if u think i would have to then i guess i will but i am very interested in another solution.

Hmm, try clicking while the movie is playing to skip straight to Act 4. If it still freezes, you may need to reinstall the game.

You don't need to restart your single player character - just make sure to back up your characters before you uninstall/reinstall D2. The save files are located in the subfolder /SAVE in your Diablo 2 folder. Copy the files there to a floppy disc, and then uninstall the game.

It can also help to scandisk/defrag your hard drive before you reinstall it, and make sure to download the 1.03 patch (http://www.opentechsupport.net/downloads/patches/d2rtl103.exe) and run it immediately after you install Diablo II.
