Windows ME

Hi,
Is diablo2 compatible with window me? Cos I installed it but whenever I click play diablo, I only get a black screen and then the computer hangs. Also installed is the Nvidia TNT2 64 pro. I have tried all the troubleshooting procedures.

Could anyone give advice on why this is happening and what I can do to fix the problem.

Windows ME is compatible with DIablo 2. Since you just changed your OS and video card, those are the best places to check first.

Check for a driver update for your video card from the cards manufaturer. IF you're unsure or want to try a different driver, you can use the latest DEtonator 3 driver from NVidia here (http://www.nvidia.com/products.nsf/htmlmedia/detonator3.html).

If you have a sound blaster Live card, you should update to Liveware 3 for Windows Me. It fixes some problems it has with Windows Me. You can grab it here (http://www.creativehelp.com/files/download.asp?OS=WinME&prod=sblive).

Update your chipset drivers if you use a non-Intel chipset of somekind. Check this page (http://www.opentechsupport.net/faqs/Forum6/HTML/000006.html) for links to your chipset.
