I remember 18. The almost out of teens clumsy and ordinary, in search of almost anything. Aunts and Neighbor ladys expect you to go move heavy stuff for them and mow their lawns. You have a girlfriend but only if you get a car. Mom shows you plans of how they are going to remodel your room when you leave. You blink and ask your new boss to explain "minimum wage" to you again.
