memory cards

i have a play station 2 that is 7 days old i went and got a new memory card well i cant save anything it says 2 put memory card in slot 1 and its in there.can you help me with this please.thnk you

Maybe the card is faulty. Get it replaced. Or maybe you need to format it. Couldn't say, as I don't have a PS2.

try to clean it, blow in it, then put it in, if not then put it in and then move it while its in, it happends to my old memory card
