DLP Projector

I was thinking about buying this projector, I am a fan of the "big screen" and thought it would be sweet to "console" with as well. Any thoughts?

Re: DLP Projector

I only know a few things about DLP/HD tech, but IMO, I would get one that does at least 720p.

Re: DLP Projector

I'm not sure about the resolution on that one. Personaly, I perfer DLP, but I would agree with SKYHN, it should have at least 720p, but preferably 1080. Also, get one with at least a 2500:1 contrast ratio. Otherwise, it will not be bright enough. And look for one with composite video, s-video, component video, and DVI inputs for other devices like DVD players. If possible, get one with HDMI and VGA inputs, but only if your willing to spend a little more money. You could easily get a good DLP projector with 720p resolution, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, and the first 4 inputs I mentioned for under $1500. Also note that you should plan on getting extra speakers because some projectors don't have ones built in, and if they do, they're horrible.
