Damn you Microsoft!

Can't believe this. Their stupid backwards compatibility on the Xbox 360 is a load of bullshit! I can't play the two Prince of Persia games I just bought. PoP - Sands of Time works fine (albeit a bit slow), yet The Two Thrones and Warrior Within don't? What the hell were they thinking?! Why would you have one game of the trilogy work, but not the other two? C'mon, MS, THINK!!!

They're thinking they want you to buy an X-Box.

Re: Damn you Microsoft!

They have a list of BC titles on the site. Be sure to check that before buying games.

If the games you got were on it, then maybe it's time to talk to some indian dude for a half hour or so.

Re: Damn you Microsoft!

Checked that list and PoP - Sands of Time is on it, but not Warrior Within or Two Thrones. It's ok though, I found my old original Xbox and fired it up, though it does seem to chug a bit on the games. I can hear the drive struggling to read the disk, and I've cleaned the games good too. My guess is that the old thing's probably dying.

Anyways, I'm thinking of doing one of two things.
1 - Get a refurbed Xbox from Gamestop and hope it works out better than mine.
2 - Get the PoP Trilogy for Gamecube so I can play them all on my Wii without any BC problems at all and without chugging, glitches, or any stupid stuff like that.

Personally I'm leaning towards #2 because Wii just seems to have BC done right and done well. Plus the PoP Trilogy for GC would run me around $45 if I get it all from Amazon.com, whereas a refurbed Xbox is $60 at Gamestop. Factor in that the Wii is newer, cleaner, draws less power, more sturdy, will last longer, etc, etc.

There is also a third option that I could get the PoP trilogy for my PS2 instead, but again it's slight beat up and an older thing (slim model, but still). Also, if at some point I decide to get a PS3 or whatever newer Sony system comes out, BC will be important to me, and it seems like Sony's chucked that out the window (or else gone software like Microsoft did and, by definition, ruined a portion of their PS2 and PS library).

Re: Damn you Microsoft!

who cares, Sands of Time was infinitely better than Warrior Within and a lot better than The Two Thrones. You were blessed.
