Yeah, I noticed that too.

Well, my experiences were with older machines but I still dislike Gateway.

well actually I added on the hd and the cdrw. I just wanted to sound more dramatic
I also added a case fan...
but I did replace the power supply. Thats the only thing I think is bad about gateway. They give these extremely crappy ps's. my comp came with a 160 rofl
I replaced it with 430 watts

I built my computer two years ago and the only thing I replaced so far was my mouse and my keyboard

I have Gateway machine from about 4 years ago. Lost 1 vid card(cooling fan went out) and 2 power supplies(manufacturing problems) but everything was replaced fast and free because of my extended warranty. Is a great PC though, I use it mainly as a LAN server for parties and other misc things.

Yeah, I turned my old gateway into a cs dedicated server. It is probably one of the fastest servers I have been to.

basically, gateway makes hammers. some very nice ones, but theyre still hammers. if you need a nailgun, a hammer wont do. if you dont need a nailgun, buy the hammer.

Umm ok i may out of it here...but proprietary, kinda but to the point your are saying . Unless you atre talking about the newer computers then i dound my old gateway to be very flexible. In fact i have swapped many of the parts in anf out and have used then in other comps.

In fact i modded my old gateway case and is the one i am using. All my parts fit in there perfectly without a hitch. THe case is actually pretty high quality.
