for those that dont want to wade through the entire statement, only 2 models are affected by the recall. and that is because a total of 8 units world wide had a problem

Wow! i have one of those same models, but my serial # doesn't fall in the range that they specify in the article. i used it for 3 months or so before it started acting up. it would trip an internal switch that could be reset, but as soon as i would reset it, it would trip it again. it kept switching back and forth from normal power to battery back up under normal conditions!

after i tried every thing the manual suggested and nothing worked, i unplugged it, and discontinued using it. i thought about sending it back, but i haven't got around to it, being that this was just 3 or 4 weeks ago. now, i don't think i would want to use another one of that brand anyway! that's why i haven't sent it back yet, for fear i would get another new piece of s**t that would crap out on me in 3 months or so!
