I just renewed my contract for 1500/256 @ $39.99 a month. w00t
As for that wireless router, make sure the firmware is updated. Also, these forums are very helpful with SBC problems(people from SBC actually are on these forums):

In response to Mr. Madman...
Surething, that problem is usually caused by the DSL modem, but sometimes the router as well. The best solution is to simply reboot both devices by switching them off for about 30 second then turning on the modem first. After the modem powers up and establishes a connection, flip on the router. This should help a lot. If not let me know, and maybe I can find another solution.

Do not use SBC software
I would not recommend to use SBC software at all.
Instead I would strongly recommend to use a separate router
DSL installation with PPPoE
what would give you a more reliable and secure solution.

What modems are they issuing with SBC/Yahoo? Are they setting them up as bridges, or are they PPPOE enabled? In the case of the former, then the router would definitely have to be set up for PPPOE authentication, receiving the dynamic IP, etc. In the case of the latter, then the router would need to be set for receiving DHCP or for whatever IP the modem is giving out, if it is not a DHCP server. If you are getting a dynamic IP, once you have your user name and password set up, you should not have to use any other connection program junk, unless they monitor it somehow. For $60 a month, I'd hope not.
A little trick that might help: Connect to the modem and to the Linksys routers, seprately, and on each renew your IP, do ipconfig, and see what their addresses are. If the DSL modem is a Zyxel 6 series, you will probably get an address of 192.168.1.1 for both the router and the modem. If so, you might want to go into the Linksys and change it's address to 192.168.0.1 or such. (don't forget to renew your machines' IP's afterwards) This way, you can access them independently from one of your networked computers without having to plug straight in to the modem.
Let me know what modem you have, and if you are assigned a static address, or a user name, etc., and I may be able to help you bypass all of the junk that it sounds like they want you to use, especially if it is a Zyxel 645 modem. I install DSL for Sprint, and we have a very simple config: Phone jack to 645 modem, PPPOE or static IP set up in modem, x-over cable to nic. No additional software added, period. In the case of a network, add the router in between the x-over and the PC, change IP of the router, and you are as good as gold, and again, ZERO software, adware, etc. added.

I wish I knew... I've seen the same thing here in FL. We had a roll-out schedule for almost every remote in my area, and poof, it is now gone, and no one will tell me anything concrete. I would guess that it is a matter of cost, but the demand is so high that I think they would be in the black much faster than they realize. One area I work in, they set it up for a capability of 36 DSLs. That shelf filled up in 20 days, and the second shelf they installed filled up in less than that, due to the number of orders on hold. That system right now has capability of approx. 300 DSL's (out of a system with the potential for about 1250 voice lines) and they are about at 80% capacity, with a brand new subdivision about to open up. We have other areas that I know would have similar results (which equals big revenues vs. the initial investment) but they still won't commit to time frames. It is almost as frustrating to me as it is to you.
You would think that they would at least tell the techs that work on it something definite, but nooo... We are always the last to know everything. I had to find out that they reset our test account passwords by calling tech support to find out why I couldn't sync and surf.

Sprint has been calling me for over a year telling me their DSL is coming and its better than SBCs. Dont really understand how thats possible since its running on the same line. Ive told that guy to stop calling me, but he seems to not understand that somehow.

It could only be better if they offer faster speeds, I'd guess. I know some places get something like a 384k max down, where we go from 512k to 3meg, depending how close you are to the DSLAM. But, we have no actual local competition, aside from CLECS, who basically just resell our dial tone service under their own name. Is your local phone company actually SBC or Sprint? If it is SBC, I'd be curious as to how Sprint is going to provide DSL, other than reselling. Unless you are in a major metro market. That makes it all more complicated, as far as competition and telco hardware goes.
At any rate, I feel your pain when it comes to sales people. They'll promise you everything, even if you can't realistically have it. I get to break people's hearts every day...

My phone company is SBC, but I have longdistance with sprint. SBC, Earthlink and Aol+ are the only broadband in my area.
