Charter Communications
charter was pretty shitty and overpriced for a long time. i got their broadband internet access (256kbit) for $30 a month, about a year ago, which was about all i could afford at the time.
it was a
very reliable service, (perhaps due to my computer maintenance), contrary to what i read on the net about them. in a year there was one 2 day outage, and once every 3 or 4 months, the net service goes dead in the middle of the night for a few hours and my ip changes.
i get the bandwidth i was promised though.
a few months ago they increased my speed
from 256kbit to 768kbit and at $5 cheaper! ($25 a month now). this week i got a notice in the mail:
thank you for your service, blah blah blah, putting up with our tech upgrades for a year, blah blah blah. We are increasing your speed to 2 mbit at no extra cost until march. (
2 mbit for $25 a month)
i understand the 2meg is an advetisement, but its my kind of advertising.
and now this is icing on the cake. . .
