"customer satisfaction"

just wondering i read that pavillion support is horrible. i work for hp support in the usa. working on printers? how is thier support?

dunno. never had a problem with my hp printers.

while the support for their computers is bad, its more likely the result of putting out really horrible computers full of proprietary crap that is incompatable with a goodly amount of hardware/software available, than an actual unwillingness to help with problems.

theyve actually got their printers and drivers right, so most people dont know if the support is good or not.

I like my hp printer. But i heard with their PCs they dont even give you boot cds.

That's true. They didn't even give me the Windows XP cd. Instead they put another hard drive in it with all the factory files on it. When something goes horribly wrong with your computer, you "System Recover" it.

Which means the computer formats your HD and copies all the files from the backup drive to it, so your computer is restored to its factory settings.

There are Pros and Cons to that setup, but I have never once had to take it in. I've System Restore about 3 or 4 times though (have had it for almost 4 years).
