OpenOffice 2.0

Hey Everyone,

I'm out for a random review of another random thing. But hey, here I go. I just downloaded the program and was clicking around quite a lot. Seems great. Pretty much everything one could ask for is here, spell check fonts, import from scanner and so on. Unlike previous versions, this one has been stable and quick.
I saved some files from Word and opened them without any problems in OpenOffice. I even saved a web page, imported into word. Resaved in Word format, and opened and had improvement in quality!
Over all, I am impressed with their progress. It still has a way to go for complete integration, but is on it's way. If you are using Microsoft Works, time to switch. If you have Office, then I wouldn't switch.

hi, i used to use openoffice, its not too bad, especially for a freebie, i must say the only thing i didnt like about was that it is just plain old ugly but appart from that its wicked

I've been using OpenOffice for a year now and its really nice. Being totally free helps too, especially for people in school. When I was in college, I constantly had to create and send Microsoft Word documents, and I only had Microsoft Works (it creates .wps files instead of .doc). Needless to say, I downloaded open office and was able to read the Word documents, along with Excel and Power Point documents! I'd rather have it be visually ugly than pretty and slow!

Microsoft works is an oxymoron. Ha ha i made a funny.
