Thumbs up Optimum Online from Cablevision

Well after haveing a bad experience with Verizon DSl, I got Cable from cablevision and it is great. I get speeds from 900kb/s to 1.5mb/s. I am never disconected except one time when my cable went out, but it was only for 30minutes. This is the best internet service I have ever had

What bandwidth test are you using? The tester here (from BandwidthPlace.com) measures by megabits, not megabytes.

I've never really had a good experience with cable.

That node system really bothers me. I'd rather front the extra cash and get a dedicated connection.

Fenix, when you get it you should also set your computers up to a network so all your computers benefit from the cable connection. I think the Cable guys do that though.

The router he has, has a built in firewall, and so does WinXP.

He does not need to download anything else.

One bad thing about OOL, they don't allow servers

It's not bad if you don't want to set up your own server in the first place.
