FIC AD11 Motherboard

OK so I won this board at an AMD show... but it blew my CPU.

I'm gonna send it back to FIC...

I love Gigabyte boards... simply the best.

Anyone else have bad FIC stories??

Just wonderin how did it do that? Did you happen to do anything to the board (i.e overclock it) or something?

FIC is responsible for the most disasterous time in my long career in upgrading. I had 2 revisions of the FIC PA2013 and NEITHER of them ever worked right. Always memory problems. And I was using quality RAM.

Later, this same board was being fried all over the world due to an improper voltage regulator for the AGP port. In other words, voodoo 3 = Dead Motherboard.


Bottom line, FIC makes total shit. They cut a lot of corners to lower the cost of their boards including skimping on capacitors. Mine and the board you mentioned above have to be the 2 most worst motherboards of all time.

So far, the best motherboard I have ever used is the Epox 8K7A but I have had good boards from Asus and Tyan before as well.

i'm trapped in FIC hell with no $$$ to get out!!! The thing is buggy! it does actually work if you dont use there driver, but via's 4in1 driver, at the cost of some speed. NO AGP CARD WILL WORK UNDER LINUX!!! IT"S MAKING ME VERY MAD. ALSO, NO AGP CARD WILL WORK UNDER WINDOWS IF YOU USE FIC'S DRIVER!!!
