Dotster.com is pure bullshit.
For the last 5+ days, I have been needing to change the dns of my domain, so it points to the new F5 server. We'll I lost my password, so I sent a request toretrieve my password, but the email address they had, chaged to @comcast.net, instead of @home.com.

So, they said that all I had to was send in a photo ID (Driver's Liscence), the the case ID#, correct email address, and a request for my password, to them via fax. So I did.

Now, they come back saying they want a bussiness liscence for my site. What the hell. Bussiness liscence? Since when do you need a bussiness liscence to own a domain? Since I don't have one, there more then likely going to tell me i'm out of luck.

Now you see, they don't accept my credit card info as proper proof.

Its pure BS.

Conclusion is that dotster.com is crap, boycot them, may they rot in hell.

I don't believe it is up to the company to decide what is and is not adequate proof.

You could always send them the email telling them they will get a call from your lawyer if they don't cooperate.

w00t! There acctually going to CALL me and give me my user name and password. After two long f'ing weeks, I finally get back acsess. I was almost ready to send them a hollow threat stateing I'd take legal action just to get the ball rolling.
