Check your prices!

Now, I love Amazon when I go to buy books...

I saw in the newspaper an ad for a cheap digital camera at OfficeMax for $19.99 after a $5.00 rebate. I figured it would be well worth the price. I'm sure I can do some things with it.

So, I start searching the net to make sure it's not a total waste of money before I go buy it. I came across the following at Amazon:

DC1500
Argus DC1500 Digital Camera Blue

Our Price: $199.99

See all new: from $39.98
See all used: from $35.00

Seller usually ships in 1-2 business days

Wow! $199.00! 400% more than any other source on the net. It just makes me wonder how many people are getting it from there.

Amazon is terrible for anything that isn't a CD, DVD, or a book. Everything else they are always behind on.

I bought the camera. Pretty cute. Works well outside. Sucks inside without extremely bright lighting.

The software didn't do anything for me. It sucks. I found out that I can download all pictures at once to the hard drive with IrfanView.

IrfanView rules!
