Well, mine is automatic

Hello

My graphics drivers set game to either 75 hz and 85 hz, and also if the game runs in 800 x 600 the refresh rate can be 150 hz.

And also have you heard of this new facility that has come out for nvidia cards only, and it is copyrighted. well if you used a big monitoir of lets say 22 inch all the lower resolutions especially 800 x 600, that resolution look rubbish on big monitors there was black lines in between and that stained peoples eyes, so now (don't get confused now), when i go into 800 x 600, it is actually 1600 x 1200, b ut in 800 x 600, at 85 hz, and it really works in games as well, i had city trader running in that resolution, it looks very clear indeed, also if you want to have the correct resolutions set in windows xp or windows 98, i suggest you put the select on the nvidia drivers override refresh rates for the resolutions, and below is a list of all the resolutions with a drop down box to the right, select the refresh rate for each resolution then when you change the resolution by a game or user, it will force that refresh rate, and tweaker i presume you don't use a nvidia graphics card.
