Post GTA Vice City for PC Release Date Revealed

Looks like the rumors that GTA Vice City was coming to PC this spring are true.

Rockstar Games has announced that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is scheduled for release in the US on May 15 and in Europe on May 16. The PC version will feature enhanced graphics and sound, additional PC controls, and several options to allow players to customize the game. Vice City, which is the sequel to Grand Theft Auto III and is set in a Miami-like oceanside city, was released for the PlayStation 2 in October and has since had record sales.

Well for us people who don't own a PS2 or actually like them , the PC version is our fix.

LOL

Well I haven't actually had a chance to play the PS2 version. I have the PC version of GTA3 and liked it a lot, and I've heard a lot of good things about Vice City.

But its like that with any game. One man's Warcraft III is another man's Dikatana.

The PC version of VC will have enhancements though. And they are redoing the graphic engine rather than porting it like last time. I read a thing in a PC magazine earlier today at a bookstore, the graphics will have better textures and will take advantage of vid cards that have a lot of memory, as well as increase the pollygons "substantially".

One of the big things though is supposedly you will be able to make your own cars easily with fully customizeable sounds and everything. And it will have full support for a bunch of 3d modeling programs if you really wanna customize. The last version didnt do to well with that, as you could only replace car models.

It's the exact same boring game except you are just in a Miami enviornment. Take my word for it.

I wouldn't call it the worst game ever, but it is DEFINATELY far from the best. Personally, I like GTA3 better. The only thing I really cared for other than the fact that it's easier to lower your wanted level, is the music in the game. I like a lot of 80s tunes, so that really did the trick for me.

Nobody here ever said that Vice City was the best game ever.

I'll be picking up the pc version. Ditched the PS2 a while ago and the only reason I miss it is because of Grand Theft Auto.
