XP PC Released In New Zealand

Taken from The Register:

The official date XP can ship on PCs is today, Monday 24 September, and as New Zealand's capital Wellington is 16 hours ahead of New York, and 11 hours in front of London, the PC Company probably did ship the first XP box. Unless someone in Anadyr in Russia got up very early to sell an XP PC. Anadyr is one hour ahead of Wellington.

The PC Company MD Colin Brown said: @We opened our store at 1 minute passed midnight (Monday morning) so shipped the first XP system. It was a great night. Got home at 4:00am."

Dell, MicronPC, Gateway, and Compaq have also released PCs with XP. For individual customers, XP will not be available until October 25th.
