3DMark Vantage is a gaming performance benchmark that is used to measure native DirectX 10 and multi-core CPU performance with large amounts of physics, AI and graphics on PC's running Microsoft Windows Vista with Service Pack 1. 3DMark Vantage shows the user where their gaming system performs at its peak or doesn't have the horsepower, and how to get the most performance possible out of their hardware for today's and tomorrow's games.
A couple sites just posted their findings on the brand new benchmark toy.
Legit Reviews takes a look at this new benchmark armed with a ASUS PhysX P1, XFX GeForce 9800 GX2 and an ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 to see what the benchmark is all about. Here's an excerpt:
"The Jane Nash test scene is hands down the toughest of the two game tests. The scene also features a Sapphire branded water craft, which means some marketing money exchanged hands for that. Everyone that got a chance to see this scene before the benchmark was released commented on the bouncing boobs of Jane, so what a better picture to end on..."
