Fifty Million Gamecubes by 2005

Nintendo on Thursday made its sales predictions regarding the Gamecube. The company still has a long way to go if they are going to catch Sony and the Playstation 2 console, which has already sold 30 million units since its debut on March 2000.

50 million in 3 years doesnt seem like a bad target, but it probably wont be that high. 35 to 40 million seems more reasonable.

The Gamecube is going online, and Nintendo is using Phantasy Star Online as its first game to use its online capabilities.
