OK as I said I would I am gonna give you the lowdown on my trip....

Adventures of the Gerbil
(this could be centered if HTML was on!!!

Well, I acutally forgot a lot of it in the last 2 hours but lemme recall.... hopefully a totalrecall*haha! sorry *

lemme start off saying my friend's name online whereever is Hergoat so that is what i will call him, also, my dad knows tons about vegas and he ranks high with hotels/airlines/rental car companies because of his job.... off we go

Well, my friend(Hergoat) came over Tuesday night and me him and my parents headed to O'Hare International Airport(best airport in the world). We got there rather early so me and Hergoat wandered around the terminal and played around at the Brookstone shop. Then it was time to board, we were on an American Airlines Super 80(forgot the make) for the next 4 hours(time gate to gate). Hergoat and I played cards(war, and go fish lol). After that we noticed a little old guy diagonally infront of us was sorta weird looking and kept looking back at us(probably cause we were sorta noisy). Hergoat started throwing little things at him but he didn't notice. Then we had a discussion about Langoliers(ya know, Steven King book), after that we both fell asleep for about an hour. We woke up before landing.... can't remember much bout that but Hergoat said his ears hurt. Finally leaving the plane we saw the creepy old guy, I told Hergoat to hug him but he didn't.

We got our bags and headed to the Dollar Car Rental bus outside waiting to take us to their lot. When we got to the lot the driver told us we could take anything from this certain row. My dad and I were expecting an Intrepid because that's what he paid for. Instead we saw a row full of Chrysler 300Ms and LHSs. I said "holy crap", sized up the cars and picked the best one. A fully loaded LHS. Best car rental I've seen since a Lincoln Towncar we had a few years back. We drove off, me still amazed and tinkering with things in the car, very nice as long as you are renting, too expensive to buy though

We took the scenic route(down the strip) because Hergoat had never been there and my dad wanted to show him a good time lol. After a few miles we pulled up to the hotel we were staying at, the Flamingo. I've stayed there before and it is rather nice, especially for the price we got, $120 a night I think. Well we went into the hotel and my dad checked at the front desk to get our rooms. He came back angry, saying that the only 2 rooms they had weren't joined(ya know the little door) and that we would have to move the next morning. He was pissed cause he normally gets things good at hotels hehe. After this we went to an all night steak and breakfast buffet cause it was cheap. It was pretty good for being 12:30am We finished up eating and walked back to the Flamingo and went to our rooms, me and Hergoat had a room and my parents another on the same floor. We didn't do much that night, cept got pissed at the TV cause the coax was on too tight to take off and plug the RF switch to my N64 in. Hergoat then found a phonebook in the droor and well, as AK may know, he has a fondness of ripping them in half. I added up the pages for him(1091) and he then ripped it in half and placed it back in the droor as if nothign happened, I was laughing my ass off and he said that 1091 was his record. After that we went to sleep.

The next day, hrmm, well, we woke up and had to change rooms. We all headed over to Caesar's Palace and walked around at the Forum Shops for a few hours. After that we got our new rooms and my parents went down to the pool and me and Hergoat went walking the strip. As my dad had said there were many mexicans handing out smut cards, brochures, etc.... We just thought it was funny. We looked around then met my parents at the pool, they said yet again, the rooms had changed,(2 big rooms now, 5' longer than the normal rooms cause they were on the like, um super floor, i dunno) we got our 3rd set of keys and went back to the room and plugged in the N64 and played for an hour maybe. By then it was time to head out to a show, American Superstars(imperonations and showgirls, oh well hehee). It was pretty good seeing how I didn't pay for it. It was at the Stratosphere which also has a '50s diner so after the show we went there and had diner. We went back to the hotel and it was about 9pm. My parents said they were gonna go off gambling. Me and Hergoat once again walked the strip for a few hours, checking hotels out, and stopped at Gameworks too look around. For you who don't know what Gameworks is, well, I feel sorry for ya . We walked back joking about the smut peddlers and got back to the room. We played a few hours of N64. Right before bed I tempted Hergoat with this 2126 page phonebook I found in the room. This thing was huge, he couldn't get it. Oh well, we went to sleep.

The next morning we woke up and had breakfast somewhere along the line I guess. After that we walked down to Gameworks and played a ton of games(we spent $10 a peice but with a coupon we got $20 on our cards). We played a few shooting games, a few sports games and mostly racing games, We found this cool game, like 355 challenge or something, $2 a pop but damn, 3 screens, great stereo sound and the only game i've ever seen with full manual transmission, 6speed stick with a clutch!!!! I thought that was awesome so I dumped alotta money on it hehe. We walked back to the hotel, oooing and ahhhing at the Vipers, Corvettes, Ferraris, Z3s, TTs, and other nice cars that they have for rent right on the strip. We got back and played N64 for a few and then got ready for dinner at the Flamingo buffet(it was comped cause of the room mix up earlier). After that me and Hergoat went back to Gameworks and dumped another $20. Oh well, it was hella fun. We walked back to the hotel after that and Hergoat kept joking about this little 3' mexican handing out the smut stuff. After that we just pretty much went to sleep since it was about 1am.

Our last day we woke up and went next door to the Barbary Coast for breakfast. My parents went out to the pool and me and Hergoat walked down the strip looking for gifts for his family(he wanted to bring back that goofy 3' mexican but we decided it wouldn't be the best idea . Well, I paid about $6, he paid about $3 and we got 3 shirts, 3 decks of specialty cards, and a deck of rigged cards and 2 funny bumperstickers. Yeah, bout $9, I'm not gonna say how but it ain't something your mother would want ya doing! hehe. We walked back to the hotel and decided to go down to the pool. We sat in the sun for a while, I went in the frigid waters of the pool and the hot tub, but Hergoat pretty much stayed out. The sun started to go behind the building and we went upstairs and packed all our stuff up, we had to be outta the room by 6pm. We got ready, packed up the car and headed downtown for a few hours cause our plane was leaving at 12:05 and it was only about 6. We went down to Fremont Street and had dinner at this nice steak place. Yum.. very good. After that we walked down Fremont Street under the huge canopy(if you've been to Vegas youwould know) and watched the show up on it. We wondered where the camera was when some showgirls were out for pictures with people but we didnt' have one so we went back to looking for gifts.

We got all that done and headed to the air port at about 10pm. We got there and did all the airport stuff that you always do. We had a while before our plane was boarding so we stopped at some stores and got some candy for some reason. I dunno, but it was expensive and tasty. My dad told us it was time to board so we headed down the ramp hoping the creepy old guy was on this flight too. We started on and I asked my dad what seats we had. He said "right here" pointing to the first row. I said, holy crap!, first class!!!. Because of his high rank he got all 4 of us upgraded right at the last minute for free, no miles, no money, free! Me and Hergoat were happy and played around in the seats cause we thought they were so cool. We got drinks, and such before take off(we thought that was cool). We took off and got one last view of the strip, pretty cool. A few minutes later the pilot said that if we looked out the window we could see an aurora borealis. Wasn't major but looked hella cool and got me to yell, "oh no the langoliers!!". After that we got pampered s'more and we played cards again, poker, blackjack, crazy 8s, and go fish. By then it was about 1am and we both went to sleep. I woke up a few minutes before we started on our way downward. By that time it was 4:30, 5:30am(stupid clock change) CST(2:30pst). We landed and did all the airport stuff you do. We wend back to the car(I complained cause it wasn't as big as the LHS hehe, it's a loaded '99 Oldsmobile Cutlass). We dropped my friend off and went home. We all went to sleep, it was about 7am. I woke up at like 4pm today. yeah, the trip was over but I'm still writing about it. Damn, those days were sooo long, cause of all the timezone changeing and late nights of doing things, sheesh, oh well,

That was my vacation, pretty cool huh? damn, this is so focking long! hehe, any questions feel free to ask me.... damn, too bad i didn't meet up with SK out there.....

yeah, but you wanted to save up money to go visit your brother, now you are using your money to buy a TV? lol, heheh

Yeah the car museum was cool, had some nice old cars, one of them V12 SLKs, a few Camaros and Trans Ams from like the '70s and '80s that were rather cheap. I remember they had a Camaro with a special police engine in it.
