Re: Got Blu-Ray?
Yeah, at the very least picking up an HD-DVD player is a cheap way to get an upconvert player (since most upconvert players are around $100 give or take).
I have a Sony BDP-S300 and it does an excellent job upconverting my standard DVDs as well as an excellent job playing Blu-Ray. It's connected to my 40" Samsung LNT-4066f (I posted about my HT set up a while back).
I only have a few movies on Blu-Ray though. But any new movie I get, I get it on Blu-Ray (if available). I also rent from Blockbuster for the Blu-Ray movies.

** Got for half price because of a special, and it was the most interesting one to choose from. Not that great of a movie, but my girlfriend enjoyed it.
