a contemporary replacement for battle.net
onsite chat? IRC?
I can actually set up IRC like, right now, if that's a viable option for secondary nonsense. Though I'm pretty apathetic about the whole thing.

Re: a contemporary replacement for battle.net
well, an irc channel is as simple as me making the channel on the server I'm always on anyways. But since I can connect to irc through my default im client which I'm always running all of the time, it's not at all going out of my way.
The rest of you would have to actually bother getting a client and connecting to it.

Re: a contemporary replacement for battle.net
I only run steam when playing a game, but it's definitely a good idea to get one going up.

Re: a contemporary replacement for battle.net
Because everyone wants to alt tab from starcraft all day and interact with a bunch of losers who are still taking up space in OTS on battle.net in 2008.

Re: a contemporary replacement for battle.net
steam owns seriously.
if you have any steam game (who seriously doesn't own HL2??) go make a profile http://www.steamcommunity.com, you'll get a steam id and I guess someone can make a group - if laggy don't do it, taco or myself may do it
then go here and add me
http://steamcommunity.com/id/altronhgx
(before you get freaked out about my group, it's a Something Awful YCS group)
