RIP George Carlin

Normally, I could give 2 shits when a celeb dies, but George Carlin is one of the few exceptions to that. He was always witty, most of the time he was funny, and each time I watched his schtick he would make me think. Sometimes, it was about inane stuff like how malleable the English language can be. Other times it caused me to think about deeper subjects like religion, politics, and the human condition. He will be missed. By me at least.

Re: RIP George Carlin

Yeah that REALLY caught me off guard last night. I was in shock for a minute. Here is the intro to one of his books (in audio book form) which I always thought was really well written and even executed-

Re: RIP George Carlin

Indeed. Carlin was one of my all-time-favorite comedians, especially his early works. He was very thought-provoking, as well as funny. Heck, I've lived my own life based around some of the philosophical stuff he's thrown around, and all for the better I say. He will truly be missed and I don't think there'll be many more like him for a long time.

To Carlin, who is surely sinking rice krispies, conducting talking trains, smoking a bong full of fruit loops and giving a few religions and dead people a piece of his mind, wherever he may be.

Re: RIP George Carlin

Yea, it really sucks. I recently saw him live (~ two years ago). Glad I got that in before this. He was the greatest. And also....
