Re: Battle.net OTS oldies!
I certainly qualify as an "oldie" - but sure don't remember you.. Of course, that could be due to most of the self-proclaimed old-timers in these forums being the newbie kids in OTS when I was there... or due to Alzheimers - I *am* old after all...
I'm doing well, etc. Still gaming, and still here.

Was known as Cable~Retail back in the day, other names I remember were (of course) foogar (haven't talked to him in a long time, I know he's down here in Florida now though), Laggy (CL) laborat, t`kron (found out he passed away when I last talked to laggy in '05), cyglorx, JANNA, HELLENOFTROY, Raven and some names that are on the tip of my tongue but ultimately escape me.
I used to have the login to usualsuspects, looks like its been changed so I registered on the us wow forums hoping someone recognizes me
And of course, while you don't remember me, I certainly remember you
How've you been? Hows mr momser?

yeeesh... kids....
Thanks for jogging my memory Cable I *DO* remember Cable~Retail - just didn't make the connection to EvilCable. Did I mention old?
As for me.. well.. as you can see I still hang around here, and still game. I've been doing Lord Of The Rings Online for the past year+, and enjoying it. Mr Momser still doesn't game, and none of my children do either. Where did I go wrong?? There is hope on the horizon though - the grandkids!! I don't hang out in OTS anymore. Once the mmorpg's changed format, none of the games I play even have game forums like that. Not even WoW does! ah the old days.. I still keep in touch with a lot of the old regulars in OTS back in the day. So lessee...
T'kron, Laborat, Titan and Foomage (not Foogar, the other Foo) are emeritus now.. sadly gone, and still missed. JANNA moved to Minnesota from Texas, and dropped out of sight a few years back (we suspect cows ate the cable line and he's still waiting for a new one). ELLENOFTROY and TheWolf are still kicking along, gaming, and enjoying their retirement in California. Ravenstorm is also still about, raising heck and eyebrows - from the East Coast now (he'll figure out where he wants to live any day now, and in the meantime he's been in the Carolina's and Florida). Lady Tempest moved to upstate New York, where she and her husband own and run a hunting/fishing resort (and have the WORST internet connection). TheHelper, Revenge, and Logical1 are all in the Houston area, and survived the latest round of hurricanes without too much hassle (btw Logical1 is giving Revenge a run for the money with that Most Kids Crown - up to 4 as of this summer, and still going). Lots of others are still around and gaming - Wargasm, Memnoch, Kmdr Kane, Spaceghost... There sure were a LOT of us!
The last time I saw cyglorx, Gerbillo, UhOk, and others was right here (why I am still here) - so check out the archives.
Hope that sates your 'need to know'.

Re: Battle.net OTS oldies!
Did you get tired typing all of that, old timer?
But seriously. I only met Ravenstorm once, when he randomly showed up at the last LAN at Observer's in '02. Quite a character.
Speaking of, any news of Observer?

Re: Battle.net OTS oldies!
Indeed it does, thanks momser. Finally had some extra time to myself and figured I'd check some old hang outs. I dropped communication with a lot of old friends due to events of the past few years (rough marriage than live-in father-in-law passed away, then nasty divorce) and finally got life straight and back together. Goin through my second divorce. Yeesh, I'm only freakin 28.
Been lookin 'round for foogar, it seems the old emails I have no longer work and he hasn't been on the forums in a while. We used to keep in touch every now and again.

Re: Battle.net OTS oldies!
Do I qualify for the "oldy" position since I'm a mere 26 years old? LOL I hung around OTS since Diablo and Starcraft were popular. I still have a deep seeded hatred for the fact that I couldn't download the entire D2 beta in one dialup sitting.

Re: Battle.net OTS oldies!
Man, how time flies. I just saw momser's update now and I still remember the faces of almost everyone she mentioned even though I only met ya'll once. Glad to see you're all doing well.
As for me? That high school kid you met in LA is now graduated from college and working. Isn't that the craziest thing?
