Problem with DI-604 Router

Ok , I recently bought a DI-604 router by D-Link.

I configured my comps in a MS network, dns servers and everything...






The problem is :

I have 2 computers hooked to it.. and both of them can't create games on battle.net because it reports to everyone that the LATENCY IS TOO HIGH...

but my ping is 1 green..


Same thing with all my Blizzard games, I also experience lag.. BAD LAG...



How can I fix this... No software came with it..

Oh and I tried going to the setup by typing
192.168.... and it says in the manual to type admin for the user and leave the password blank..

I do this and it asks me the question again I do cancel and it says 401 Unauthorized.

I resetted it with a pin , no luck.......

Please don't create threads with titles involving the sexuality of a piece of hardware.

Does the router have any sort of filtering / protection enabled by default?

With a single IP, I believe you will have problems with both computers entering the same game.

*edit* Found this in the PDF file of the manual:

The DI-604 can be configured as a virtual server so that remote users
accessing Web or FTP services via the public IP address can be
automatically redirected to local servers in the LAN network.
The DI-604 firewall feature filters out unrecognized packets to protect your
LAN network so all computers networked with the DI-604 are invisible to
the outside world. If you wish, you can make some of the LAN computers
accessible from the Internet by enabling Virtual Server. Depending on the
requested service, the DI-604 redirects the external service request to the
appropriate server within the LAN network.
The DI-604 is also capable of port-redirection meaning incoming traffic to
a particular port may be redirected to a different port on the server
computer.

Sor-ry, for involving sexuality to a piece of hardware!


This doesn't help me much cuz I don't know really how to come about changing those options!

Ok I managed to acess the panel... But now I went to applications... how do I know the right ports for bneT??

Sorry for having 3 diffrent posts but its because I was wondering how to uh separate the IP adresses?

Every Blizzard game that was made after Starcraft can be played with multiple pc's in the same game with only 1 IP adress. Only if you want to play Diablo 1 or Starcraft/Brood War, you'll need more than 1 IP adress. If you want to have more than 1, you'll have to buy more from your ISP.

Bnet ports are 4000, 6112-6119.

the reason you get a good ping is because the router probably sees that the request are for a local computer and your packets never leave the local network.
what kind of connection do you have? most cable or dsl gives you about twice the download speed and for running a game server usually you need a good upload speed as well.
