Msi Fx5200-t128

I recently purchased this video card and installed it in my computer (XP). It refuses to install the drivers and the mouse pointer leaves tracks all over as I move the mouse.
The same computer I reinstalled Win98 and the card worked with no problems...
I have reinstalled WinXP and have the same problems again...
Any suggestions???

Are you using the drivers on the MSI disk? If so grab the latest detonator driver from nVidia at www.nvidia.com and try to install that. If you have the latest version then try installing the 43.45 release as it is much more stable.

Thank you for the suggestion, but it still doesn't work.
What is happening now is that the monitor goes black.
Looks like a hardware problem but I can't believe that as
it works on this machine using Win98.....

probably the xp needs to be updated first.

I have updated Xp from the MS website....
