Bios hot swap

I have done a bios hot swap on another motherboard A7v266 i think but awdflash gave an error that the Motherboard and the c18x1007.bin file i am trying to use does not match.

Is there another flash program that will maybe not check to see if the two match up, or another way to go about the hot swap??

What about ami flash utill, wil it work on award bios???

thanks

Well, if the program says the file doesn't match up, why do you want to risk hosing your board? Maybe I'm not understanding you, but I'd make sure you downloaded the correct BIOS for your board.

No it is another motherboard - working one. I boot it up into dos then take out the bios chip and replace it with my chip that was wiped, and then i try to flash it with my boards bios bin file.

My board does not boot up so i can enter the flash util.

Try putting -f or /f at the end of the command (I forget which one it is). That should force the program to flash the chip
