WD 120gb won't work with a Chaintech 5agm2 motherboard

Hi

he's the pc

-Motherboard : Chaintech 5AGM2
-CPU : K6-II+ 500 (overclocked at 550)
-Video : ATI ?? 16Mo
-RAM : 256Mo PC100
-HDD : Western Digital 120gb 8mo cache

when to computer boot normaly
on the second screen see you (the one after the memory test and the energy star logo)
its a table and you see information about de PC when he arrive to my hard drive
it show LBA, UDMA 2 and the computer freez here he dosen't display the information that is supposed followed this line.

if i remove the hard drive
goto the bios, set the "primary master" = none
the computer will boot normaly (without see the hdd on listing)
i start the win2k setup by the cd
i saw my HDD i start the install of window
and then he reboot (normaly)
he still dosent see the hard drive
and the win2k DOS setup RESTART

Anyone got an idea why my 120gb dosen't work?

NOTE: the hard drive is fully fonctionnal in my other PC
NOTE: i try with an 40 hdd in my K6-II+ 550 and it work

Re: WD 120gb won't work with a Chaintech 5agm2 motherboard

Are you sure you have the cables set right, so that the new one is the secondary? Your first hd should be the primary.

Crap you need if you don’t have it already:
Firefox (Better browser)
Spyware Blaster (Prevent Spyware from Installing)
Ad-Aware (delete spyware)
