Arrow Hard Drive LED Not Working

I found out that what was causing all the noise was not a fan. It was my main hard drive making this high pitched sound all the time.

Anyway, I took that drive out and am now using what used to be my secondary drive as my main one (nice and quiet now). I set the jumper to master without slave.

The HDD LED is lit during POST, but then it goes off and does not blink when the HDD is being accessed like it's supposed to.

I know this isn't a big deal, but I like to have everything working the way it should :-)

Anyone know why this happened? All I did was take out one of the drives. There doesn't need to be two drives for it to work does there?

Re: Hard Drive LED Not Working

Have you checked the HDD LED connector? Bios update maybe? SATA cables have a tendency to pretty easily slipping off, or start to move upwards on the SATA mobo connectors making less good contact.
